17-year-old student, a Teacher, now to be a Women Power Awardee!

We’re living in the world where a woman is always restricted to live the life in a way that she wants. One is always told to not to play sports, or else if they want to then, they must play games like Kho-Kho, Ludo, Carrom etc, but the time has changed. Chandigarh-based Himanshi Marwah proved it wrong, by stepping out in a world of martial arts. The 17-year-old have won around 30 medals so far, 25 medals in India (13 Gold, 5 Silver and 7 Bronze) and rest of the 5 (1 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze) are famed internationally.

A Class XII student, is all set to add one more award in her wardrobe — ‘Women Power Award’. Himanshi was earlier called lazy, or sometimes even taunted as if she can’t do anything, but her mother Amita Marwah put all the bars down and brought her back to fight. As she conquered a lot of medals not only in India, but internationally so far, now she is going to be awarded as Women Power Award 2018 by Women Power Society. It’s an honor for Chandigarh, where 17-year-old has achieved that fame, for which it usually takes so long.

Besides Taekwando, the black-belt Himanshi have love for the Art and Craft as well. The fighter girl is having a teacher quality by birth. She admires to spend time with the kids at her mother’s NGO Amita Marwah Activity team, as she loves doing social work. She not only teaches Art and Craft along with Martial arts in NGO, but in school as well. The student of Delhi Public School is not only student there, but a teacher as well.

While talking to the Principal of DPS, Amita Dhaka addresses that, “It always feels proud when I see Himanshi chasing her dreams. It’s really difficult to move ahead in sports like Martial Arts, but she has done it. Also, she is a great artist and a fusion of calmness along with the spirit of fighter. It’s really an honor to be teacher of such a great student.
