Radhika Apte, an Indian film and stage actress, is destined for acting, began her acting career through theatre, working with the
theatre troupe Aasakta in her home town, before venturing into films. Radhika
got her Bollywood breakthrough in 2015, following some jaw breaking
performances in the thriller Badlapur and the comedy Hunterrr, Manjhi - The
Mountain Man—and the film for which she received wide appreciation—
psychological thriller Phobia (2016).
Radhika Apte is often known as a BOLD actress and she
retains her title with a versatility. Everyone knows that she is that much bold
to take her decisions and roles as per her wish and sometimes such roles which
other actress might not agree to go with. Well! This is what we call a bold

1. When she spoke about her first periods
"My parents were doctors and so I was told that would
happen. On the day, my mother threw party and gifted me watch. I was crying,
but still got lots of gifts," quoted by India Times.
2.When she tried to overcome of her embarrassment
I an interview with Film fare, "When I used to go to
shop sanitary napkins, I used to feel a little embarrassed. One day I decided to
go and ask them loudly that I want a packet of sanitary. I did that loudly and
purposely, now I don't shy about it anymore."
3. She never shied away from speaking her mind
Radhika wants to explore herself as she thinks that there
are many dimensions to being a woman. Likewise, she clarified the difference
between being a 'bold' woman and a 'strong' woman interview.
4. On the kind of roles that she opts
" I am not ashamed of anything. People who are embarrassed
about their own body are curious about other's body. So, if you want to see a
naked body tomorrow, see yourself in the mirror rather than a clip. Than only
we can talk about this."
5. Her role in Phobia
Phobia is the first Bollywood film where I'm playing the
solo lead. I don't know what result we will get at the box office. But I have
never selected the film by looking at its genre. I pick a film only when I like
the character that I'll be playing. It needs to be challenging character for me
to portray.

In a recent video where Radhika asked all women to love
themselves and find beauty within was again a serious thing that not many
people had addressed before.
Apart from this, her latest upcoming film starring Akshay
Kumar and Sonam Kapoor— Pad Man is also based on the same. The film is set to
