The Ramayana is the most mysterious mythological story which lefts a lot of questions behind it. Since Diwali is very close, we must remind that why it is celebrated for? Diwali is celebrated because Lord Rama arrived back in Ayodhya after conquering ten headed Ravana after a battle. The battle which took place after Ravana kidnapped Lord Rama’s wife Sita on his tenure of 14 years of exile. This was offered to Lord Rama after his father Dashratha’s youngest wife Kaikeyi asked a wish, as she wanted to grant the kingdom to his son ‘Bharata’.

‘Bharata’, though, wasn’t in seek of a kingdom as he always wanted to serve his brother, he had pledged that he will die, if Rama would get late to arrive Ayodhya after 14 years of exile. Meanwhile, Lord Rama conquered Ravana, and the day is celebrated as Vijay Dashmi or Dusshera. Now, after his death, a melodrama took place where Lord Rama denied accepting Sita as he raised doubts on her purity. Later on, Sita sat on bonfire to prove her purity which was accepted by Lord Rama afterwards.

As Bharata had pledged to finish his life is Rama gets delay in his arrival, Lord Rama asked Vibhishana, king of Lanka after the death of his brother “Ravana”, to arrange a Pushpak Vimaan for their departure. This Vimaan was built by ‘Vishwakarma’ also known as the Principal Architect of the Universe. Lord Bhrama got it from Vishwakarma which was passed on to Kuber, and then hacked by Ravana. Now since, Ravana has died and Vibhishana was the king, he was having the full rights to use it. Likewise, Vibhishana arranged Pushpak Vimaan for their departure.

Hence, Lord Rama settled on the Vimaan along with his wife Sita and younger brother Lakshmana, who was with him for the whole tenure of his exile, to fly Ayodhya. Meanwhile, the journey could become longer, that’s why Rama sent Hanumana to Ayodhya so that he could inform Bharata about the arrival and he must not do anything in his life.
