Do Reality shows pressurize kids?
Well! We are living in the era where we all wanted to achieve name and fame as soon as we can. Why? Because all we want is, the affection from peoples, the stardom and popularity. Likewise, it’s not kids; it’s about their parents as well. As a matter of fact, they want that their kid to make them recognized in the society by their name. That’s why, everyone racing behind the reality shows as it has become an opportunity to make you prominent among the others.
Here, parents plot them with it by teaching them, that if you want to become something then you should become prominent. Ahead of the stardom, they forget that everything has a negative side. Yes, negative side which was discussed by Shoojit Sircar, Film Director and Producer. He used his twitter handle to put his request among the authorities to ban the reality shows in which kids are involved. He not only put his request but has a defining logic behind it as well.
Although we all know, that reality shows among kids like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Super Dancer, India’s Best Dramebaaz, Sabse Bada Kalakaar are much more influential among the audience as it gains most of the TRP’s just because of the innocence appeal. Here, Innocence can be described as the cute and adorable kids that are being starring in the shows.
Shoojit is been known for his action drama movies like Madras Café, Pink, Piku etc. Despite that, he understands the kind of pressure that kids feel during the reality shows. He described in his tweet that these reality shows are destroying them emotionally and their purity as well.
Earlier, he had made a short film named ReleaseThePressure whose motive was to show parents that what kind of pressure children feels during their exams tenure.Humble request to authorities to urgently ban all reality shows involving children.it's actually destroying them emotionally & their purity.— Shoojit Sircar (@ShoojitSircar) July 4, 2017
In short, we can say that it’s all about pressurizing you and here the dialogue of very famous film 3Idiots fits, “we are students, not a Pressure Cooker”.
