5 steps Government should take among Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan

All of us want to make our home neat and clean, but explodes when it comes to clean the dirt of some third person. In such case, Government of India took an initiation to clean the dirt of whole country through its campaign named Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan (Clean India movement in English). The campaign was launched on October, 02, 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Obviously, the campaign left a great influence on the society but somehow there are some steps which needed to be taken for the welfare of our society. As far as I concern, some of the steps must be taken to improve the motive of campaign, “One step towards cleanliness”.

1.            Establishing Dustbins on limited distances

Use me! We have seen it mostly in the parks but it is to be established on the streets as well. As we all know, we eat mostly while travelling in car, buses etc. Then, after eating the food we throw the residue on streets. Yes! We can put it with us and throw it later but if there would be dustbins on limited distances we can throw it at a time.

2.            Huts to be replaced with cemented home

Government has replaced many huts with cemented apartments but still there are a lot of places having huts in rural areas. Still, people lives in huts which is to be replaced by the Government as the shed stores water among rains, which in result creates unhygienic surroundings.

3.            Sewerage systems to be inaugurated

Constructing sewerage should be the priority of campaign, as there are many rural areas which are still missing with the facility of sewerage. In result, they are provided with Gutters lining among their homes, which gives birth to mosquitoes.

4.            Door-to Door garbage collecting van in every city

Door-to-Door garbage collecting van service is still in process but in limited cities, which should be applied in every city including rural areas. Because those living in rural areas throws the dirt near their residence which becomes unhygienic after the rainfall and gives birth to several diseases.

5.            Monthly inspection must be taken

Now, since the campaign has a great influence on society but it seems like those who are appointed with the responsibility, tries to escape out of it. Therefore, there should be inspection on monthly basis as there are still some places where dirt is thrown despite the board with announcement, “It’s not allowed to throw waste over here as the one who throws will be charged”.
